Public Safety Services

Overview
At the School of Public Safety Services, the world is your classroom. It is not uncommon to see a defensive driving course in session on your walk to class, or students repelling off of our four-story burn tower and search and rescue maze. Students in the School of Public Safety Services work towards one of three associate degrees and a variety of employable short-term certifications.

Public Safety Services degree programs include Fire and Emergency Services, Police Science and Social Services, Corrections and Criminal Justice.

Why Choose This School?
The School of Public Safety Services is committed to providing a vast array of educational pathways, which are designed to provide a customizable education that caters to every student. Our programs not only focus on traditional students, but adult learners with years of experience, which could potentially transfer into your program as credit.

In addition to the three associate degree programs, the School of Public Safety Services also offers the following employable short-term certificates: Ohio Police Officer Training Academy (OPOTA), Fire 1, Fire 2, 36-hour volunteer basic firefighting, EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic.
