At the School of Public Safety Services, the world is your classroom. It is not uncommon to see a defensive driving course in session on your walk to class, or students repelling off of our four-story burn tower and search and rescue maze. Students in the School of Public Safety Services work towards one of two associate degrees and a variety of employable short-term certifications.

In addition to the associate degree programs, the School of Public Safety Services also offers the following employable short-term certificates: Ohio Police Officer Training Academy (OPOTA), Fire 1, Fire 2, 36-hour volunteer basic firefighting, EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic.
