Position Information

Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs,

The Director of Student Engagement and Student Life designs and delivers opportunities that encourage student involvement and college connectedness through student life programming and participation in student clubs/organizations and co-curricular programs/events for residential and non-residential students.  The Director is responsible for working with both professionals and students in developing an environment that facilitates student growth academically, socially, and personally.

This supervisory position is responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of intentional student activities, programming, including overseeing a comprehensive Residence Life & Housing program and student leadership opportunities to support a diverse student body.  

The Director of Student Engagement and Student Life is responsible for developing a comprehensive plan to effectively ensure student support services such as Residence Life, Judicial Affairs, Behavior Intervention Team and campus-wide activities are serving the needs of our students,

Position Requirements

Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Master’s degree in Recreation or related field
  • 3-5 years experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing and directing comprehensive recreational and student development programming.
