Bourbon Street Bash

The Hocking College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Students will host Bourbon Street Bash, a Mardi Gras celebration, at the Inn at Hocking College on February 7, 8 and 9, 2013 from 5-9 p.m. each night. One buffet will be served from the Starbrick Bistro on Thursday night, while two will be available from the Starbrick Bistro and the Inn banquet room on Friday and Saturday.

Students in the culinary program will prepare an authentic Cajun buffet including items such as seafood gumbo, blackened pork, redfish ponchitrain, crawfish etouffe, fried oysters, fried gator tail, chicken and sausage, jambalaya, crawfish pie, shrimp and chicken creole, cajun salad bar, New Orleans style pastries and desserts and creole bread with whipped butter.

The meal is all you can eat for $16.95.  A raw food bar, not included in the buffet, will feature fresh oysters on the half-shell, boiled crawfish, jumbo shrimp, cocktail and remoulade sauce.  Guests can enjoy Dixie Beer shipped from New Orleans and Pat O’Brien’s specialty drinks in souvenir glasses.  The Athens High Society Jazz Band will entertain the guests with performances nightly.
