School of Natural Resources Welcomes New Associate Dean

Wed, Feb 20th, 2013

Kimberly Mullen was recently named the Associate Dean of Natural Resources at Hocking College. Mullen was previously a geologist, archaeologist and geophysicist.

Her most recent position was with the Ohio Board of Education as an Assistant Director of Curriculum and Assessment, while previous positions included teaching at Ohio Dominican University and New Albany High School.

Mullen received her Bachelor's of Science in Geology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Additionally, she earned her Master's of Science and Technology in Geology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

The Associate Dean provides academic unit leadership under the direct supervision of the dean. Mullen will collaborate to develop, implement and evaluate learning experiences, build and nurture relationships with other college units and the external community, provide leadership and support to faculty and staff, manage resources and maintain approval and accreditation of unit programs.

"We are very excited to have her on board, and she is quickly making herself part of our Natural Resources and Hocking College family," Kenneth Bowald, Dean of Natural Resources, said.
