On Saturday, February 23, 2013, several community members gathered in Athens, Ohio for the 11th Annual Good Works' Walk. Hocking College students from Sue Fletcher's Contemporary Issues class raised over $450 to support the Timothy House, the only homeless shelter for nine counties in Southeastern Ohio.

The Walk is intended to educate participants about homelessness and poverty. The groups participating left from the First United Methodist Church on College Street, encountering various activities along the way to educate participants about the seriousness of the impoverished. All of the proceeds collected went to aiding the homeless at the Timothy House.

Great job to Sue Fletcher's Contemporary Issues class for raising awareness and funds to help the impoverished!
