Hocking College Landscape Management students and Campus Greens staff recently partnered with the City of Nelsonville and Rocky Brands to beautify the roundabout near Dorr Run.

Andy Freeman, director of physical plant operations, drew up the plans for the roundabout landscaping and presented them to Nelsonville City Council for approval.

The Hocking College Landscape Management students and Campus Greens staff planted trees and shrubs, as well as placing large granite boulders in the area. A sign will also be installed welcoming visitors to historic Nelsonville.

"This is kind of a gateway into the city of Nelsonville," Freeman said. "It's going to be very appealing to the eye but safe as you're going around the roundabout."

Earlier this year, Hocking College landscape students also helped with the landscaping at the double roundabout in Logan.
