The School of Engineering and Information Technology is a multi-faceted group of disciplines in the area of industry. Our programs are unique, our instructors are knowledgeable and our students are engaged.
Several of our programs are located at our Logan, Ohio campus: Construction Management in both Commercial/Residential Electricity and Carpentry, plus Network Systems. Heavy Equipment Management, is based out of Main Campus in Nelsonville, as well as the Hocking College Perry campus.
If a student enrolls in a School of Engineering and Information Technology program, they can expect to be busy – very busy! Our emphasis is on hands-on learning and collaboration with others. One great example of this collaboration is a project involving six of the Logan Campus programs in developing a traveling showcase exhibit for use at various recruiting functions. This project will be installed onto a flatbed trailer to be pulled to the many recruiting events that come up each year and will showcase each program. Emulating how workers would join together in the real world, our students from Carpentry, Advanced Energy, Commercial/Residential Electricity and Industrial Ceramics are building a publicity trailer to take to events, high schools and career centers.
In addition to hands-on learning, our students also have the opportunity take various field trips, speak and network with professionals in their chosen fields and participate in extracurricular clubs and activities.
