Mike Budzik, former Chief of the Ohio Division of Wildlife, and Mike Brooks, retired Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Brands Inc., have been appointed by Governor John Kasich to three-year terms on the Hocking College Board of Trustees.

Budzik, a Hocking College alumni, began his career with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife in January 1975 as a conservation aide.  Throughout his career, he held various statewide wildlife positions, finally retiring as the Chief of the Ohio Division of Wildlife in 2003. Budzik has been honored by both the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate for his “Distinguished Career in Wildlife.”  He recently served as the 2011 Hocking College commencement speaker.

Brooks was previously appointed to the Hocking College Board of Trustees February 24, 2011 to fulfill the remainder of a three-year term vacated by former board member Steve Swart.  He has been reappointed by the Governor to a full three-year term.   As a native Nelsonville resident, Brooks is committed to the Athens County community.  His participation on the Hocking College Board Board of Trustees further exemplifies this dedication.

The Hocking College Board is comprised of nine members, three of which are Governor appointees.
