After a brief hiatus, due to popular request, Hocking College will once again host the Summer Experience Camp on campus from July 24 - 29, 2011.

Hocking College Summer Experience Camp provides students 13 - 18 years old with a first-hand opportunity to participate in their future careers.  Campers select their program of choice and receive instruction from Hocking College faculty and staff each day, while living on campus in a residence hall throughout the week.

Campers will choose from the following program options:
  • Culinary/Hospitality Camp: The culinary camp experience provides students with a taste of hospitality, through hands-on training in Hocking College kitchens with faculty chefs.
  • Police, Fire and Emergency Services Camp:  Campers will examine a crime scene; learn fingerprinting techniques, CPR and basic first aid; feel what it's like to breathe like a firefighter; and much more with Hocking College skilled faculty.
  • Rock n' Roll Camp: Campers will write and record original compositions individually and in groups. They will learn and perfect the basic fundamentals of song writing and composition including work on concept, structure, lyric, harmony and rhythm.
  • Broadcasting / Multimedia Camp: Broadcasting Camp will introduce campers to the world of video entertainment as they begin to learn the art of script writing, lighting, sound recording, shooting and editing film, and DVD authoring.
Summer Experience Camp runs from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily, with a cost of $350 for the week for residential attendees and $225 for the day camp option.  Visit www.hocking.edu/summercamp or call 740.753.7055 for more information.
