The first annual Hocking College School of Public Safety Charity Run was held Thursday, June 2, and was a huge success for all involved.

The Charity Run was held to enable the School of Public Safety to raise money for multiple charities.

More than 32 students representing Fire and Emergency Medical Services; Police Science; and Social Services, Corrections and Criminal Justice programs participated by running or walking in the event.

The top female and male runners for each program included: Richard Drake and Lindsey Zerr, Police Science; Justin Inman and Shawna Anderson, Social Services; and Aaron Thomas; Fire and EMS.

The following charities received contributions as a result of the event:  Building Bridges Adult Center, a program of HAVAR, $155; Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, $100; and $126 for the American Red Cross.
