The Spa Management and Massage and Spa Therapy students gave free spa hand and foot treatments to Hocking College faculty and staff on Wednesday, June 1, 2011.

Jeannie Faulkner, coordinating instructor, indicated that offering the "spa day" was the students' way of expressing appreciation for the staff and faculty's hard work and dedication. This also offered a great opportunity for the students to gain valuable hands-on experience.

The treatments were free of charge to any Hocking College employee and were 20 minutes in length. They began with a soothing aromatherapy epsom salt soak followed by a therapeutic exfoliation treatment with himalayan salts and pure jojoba oil. Faculty and staff were treated to a soothing warm stone massage while practitioners utilized the ancient knowledge of reflexology, working with specific points in the hands or feet to help relax and heal.
