Hocking College recently received a certificate of recognition from AEP Ohio for completion of our energy efficiency project.

Through an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block grant program, Hocking was awarded $440,000 in funds to upgrade our HVAC systems, control systems, occupancy sensors and boilers throughout campus.  According to the certificate, the upgrade has already resulted in reduced energy use by 391545 kWh per year and reduced CO2 emissions of 335.1 by tons, which equals as many as 53 cars off the road per year.

"Please accept our congratulations on your forward thinking energy efficiency efforts," Andy McCabe, AEP Ohio, said.
