The Broadcast Production and Engineering students recently provided video support for the third annual Dancing With The Athens Stars fundraiser for the American Red Cross. Hocking students produced 12 unique video packages, one for each of the 12 dancers, and provided multi-camera video coverage of the live event that was streamed live over the Internet and will be edited into a DVD.
Students also edited music for each dance routine, prepared a PowerPoint presentation for pre-show display and a humorous outtake video for the intermission. Saturday's event grossed over $70,000 for the Athens County Chapter of the American Red Cross. This has been the most successful Red Cross Fundraiser to date and is being heralded as the single largest fundraiser in the history of Athens County.
