Hocking College Communications faculty member Deni Naffziger-Hackworth was recently invited to speak to classes as part of the annual Homecoming celebration at the University of Pikeville, Kentucky. She also read from her book, Desire to Stay, her full-length collection of poetry that was published in the spring.

Deni and Mark Hackworth, Art Program Coordinating Instructor, plan to returning to Pikeville in October to participate in their Humanities Week where they will speak with students about collaboration between the arts and collaborative learning.

Additionally, Mark's longtime artistic collaborator Steve Ward from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will accompany them to the University of Pikeville to speak about his work and creative partnerships. Mark and Steve have worked together on many series over the past ten years including fine art prints, paintings, drawings and collages.
