Hocking College and New Lexington City Schools "Partners in Education Partnership" will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 24 from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. at New Lexington High School.

This ceremony is open to the public and light refreshments will be served. Special guests include Dr. Betty Young, Hocking College Interim President, Casey Coffey, New Lexington Schools Superintendent, State Senator Jay Hottinger and county officials.

During this Arbor Day event, attendees will have the opportunity to see the newly landscaped areas of the high school grounds and signage designed by the Partners in Education.

"Hocking College is proud to partner with New Lexington Schools, working together to help high school students earn college credit and become excited about their ability to earn a certificate and degree after high school," said Dr. Betty Young, Interim President of Hocking College. "Our kids deserve the leg up in their educational pathway that this program offers. Through dual credit enrollment, students can reduce the cost of a college degree and time to completion of that degree. We all win with programs like the one celebrated with the Arbor Day project."

This new partnership will help create a brighter future of opportunity for all by advancing sustainability in higher education.
