Hocking College will offer a newly revamped Office Administration program beginning this autumn. Formerly known as the Office Management program, Office Administration will focus on the communication, information management and administrative skills needed for success in today's business office. Enrollment for autumn semester 2015 is going on now, apply at hocking.edu/apply.

Students in this two-year, associate degree program will develop skills that apply to numerous areas of the administrative office. Some of these skills include extensive computer training in numerous software packages, QuickBooks, records management, human resources, sales, marketing, customer service, administration and management.

The program is designed to fit busy schedules with options of hybrid and online classes. These options allow for more flexibility in a student's education.

Office assistants are an integral part of today's business environment and opportunities for employment and advancement are available for workers with the right skills. Employment of office and administrative assistants is projected to grow 12 percent from 2012 to 2022. The Office Administration degree program provides an opportunity for students to achieve superior administrative office skills needed to meet the ever-changing demands of today's office environment.
