The Hocking College Logan Campus hosted Cardboard City 2015 on Saturday, April 25.

Cardboard City is an awareness fundraiser sponsored by Habitat for Humanity. In the past, the event was overnight, inviting participants to build these cardboard houses and then sleep in them overnight in order to experience how it feels to be homeless. Saturday's event was limited to a few hours in the afternoon for participants to build their would-be shelters.

The only building materials the participants are allowed to use are cardboard and duct tape.

There were four groups who donated their time to building the cardboard homes with a total of 32 volunteers. There were two groups from Hocking College, one group from the Logan Rotary Club and one group from the Logan High School drama department.

This is the ninth annual Cardboard City event hosted by Habitat for Humanity but is the first year it has taken place at Hocking College. So far they have raised $4,200.
