Hocking College graduate Jon Arnold has recently been added to the Athens County Sheriff's Office as a new deputy. Arnold worked full time with the Hocking College Police Department and part time with the Nelsonville City Police Department for four years.

Brian Northup, a native of Bidwell, Ohio, is a 2012 Hocking College alumnus from the Fitness Management program. Northup has had quite an adventure since his graduation from Hocking College. When his wife accepted a teaching job in Alaska, he had to find a unique way to utilize his skills. Living in a village of Eskimos is intensely different from roaming the hills of Hocking College.

Kevin Groves is passionate about law enforcement. Since his graduation from Hocking College in 1992, he held various positions with the Hocking County Sheriff's Office. In December 2012, Groves resigned to pursue a new career as the police chief in New Straitsville.
