The mission of the Office of Student Conduct is to support the mission of Hocking College through implementation of the Student Code of Conduct, promote concepts of fairness and due process in student conduct setting, intervention programs/sanctions. Through outreach and education to the college community, the Office of Student Conduct teaches and supports community standards and fosters positive relationships while holding students accountable for behavior detrimental to their academic, personal or social development; their peers; and the larger community.

In order to carry out this mission, we strive to:

  • Provide outreach, educational materials and advisement to students, faculty and staff.
  • Demonstrate care for individual students, their educational aspirations and personal development.
  • Hold students accountable for campus violations.
  • Increase retention by encouraging students to make appropriate, ethical and positive choices.
  • Decrease risk behaviors through intervention and appropriate sanctions.
  • Ensure that students' due process rights are protected.
